About Me

Welcome to my creative space! I am a Santo Domingo-based Freelance 3D Modeler and Game Developer with a focus on graphic design. Since stepping into this ever-evolving field in February 2003, my journey has been shaped by a deep appreciation for the artistry of 3D modeling and a commitment to crafting visually compelling experiences.

 

In the realm of graphic design, I've had the privilege of contributing to projects that extend beyond aesthetics. From February 2010 to February 2012, I played a role in shaping the design and quality of over 200 phone book covers for the U.S. market at Berry Dominicana. Earlier in my career, as Art Director at Exhibidom from September 2000 to April 2005, my responsibilities included developing design plans, selecting artworks, and collaborating closely with clients and fellow artists.

 

My approach to 3D modeling involves a seamless blend of legacy software and contemporary tools like Zbrush, Blender, and 3DSMax. From character creation to meticulous retopology, UV unwrapping, and rigging in Blender, every step is guided by a commitment to precision and detail. Substance Painter becomes my canvas for texturing, and Marmoset serves as the stage for refining the visual aspects.

 

In addition to my freelance work, I've had the opportunity to serve as a Game Developer Advisor on a contractual basis for the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Work of the Dominican Republic from 2021 to 2022. This role allowed me to contribute to the establishment of a new university degree curriculum, showcasing the intersection of my practical experience with a commitment to education and professional growth.

Currently, I'm exploring the vast possibilities within Unreal Engine 5, using tools like World Machine or Gaea to add intricate details to landscapes. Animation in UE5, proficiency in Blueprints, and a growing familiarity with VR technology underline my dedication to staying abreast of industry trends.

 

Beyond pixels and polygons, my professional journey has included roles in technical recruiting, customer service, and management. Each role has contributed to my understanding of the broader creative landscape.
